- Outward Bound
  
  At Hartsdown students have significant opportunities to go beyond their comfort zones. All students complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Through this, they give back to the community as well as push themselves in unfamiliar environments.

  For high ability students we provide our excellence programme. This includes:
  
  Be Brilliant, a tutoring programme where students are tutored by Doctorate students
  
  Excellence Days, competitive days held in conjunction with Dane Court Grammar.
  
  Oxford programme, we have a partnership with Oxford University where high ability students have access to oxford tutoring and oxford summer schemes. (all free)
